Pakistan, Jan. 12 -- Six police personnel were martyred on Monday in two separate IED attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The deadly incidents took place in Tank and Lakki Marwat districts during routine police operations. Security forces launched search operations immediately, while authorities strongly condemned the attacks.
In Tank district, an IED hit a police armoured personnel carrier near Gomal police station. The blast occurred while the vehicle was travelling from the station towards Tank city. As a result, six policemen, including an additional SHO, lost their lives. Rescue teams shifted the bodies to the district headquarters hospital, while police sealed the area.
