Dubai, Jan. 14 -- India's star batter Virat Kohli has reclaimed the No.1 spot in the latest ICC Men's ODI rankings. His 93 off 91 helped India beat New Zealand by four wickets in the first ODI. Kohli is also closing in on Sachin Tendulkar's record in the all-time international run-scoring table.
The 37-year-old has been in excellent form since the Australia series, scoring 74*, 135, 102, 65*, and 93 in his last five ODIs. This is Kohli's 11th spell at the top ranking and his first time since July 2021. He has now spent a total of 825 days as the top-ranked batter, the most by any Indian.
