Pakistan, July 14 -- Humpback whales have made an impressive return to the coast of Rio de Janeiro this July, arriving earlier than usual and in greater numbers. Locals and tourists alike have enjoyed incredible sightings of these massive creatures leaping and showing off their tail fins.

According to marine biologist Pedro Froes from Brazil's Whale Observatory, researchers are still studying the reason behind this early arrival. He believes environmental changes could be influencing the shifting whale patterns in the region.
