Pakistan, June 26 -- A vaccination campaign to protect girls aged 9 to 14 years from cervical cancer (Human Papilloma Virus - HPV) is set to begin in Matiari district from 15th September 2025. In this regard, a preparatory meeting was held on Wednesday at Latif Hall, Matiari, with Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Yousif Shaikh in the Chair.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed officials of the education department to provide accurate data of girls studying in all primary, secondary and high schools across the district so that vaccination teams can be formed accordingly.
