Pakistan, July 21 -- The UK Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain, storms, and possible flooding across several regions over the next 24 hours. Areas likely to be hit hardest include Northern Ireland, Scotland, and parts of northern and southwestern England, where the downpour could cause major travel disruptions, flash floods, and power outages.
The warning for eastern Northern Ireland is in place from Sunday 6 PM to Monday 6 PM. According to meteorologist Simon Partridge, this region may experience between 50 to 75mm of rainfall in less than 18 hours - over half of July's average rainfall for the area. The heavy rain is expected to lead to surface flooding, blocked roads, and swollen rivers.
