Pakistan, July 17 -- South Korea faced severe flooding and heavy rains on Thursday, leading to two deaths and the evacuation of more than 1,000 people, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety reported. The downpour caused widespread disruption, especially in regions south of Seoul.

Since Wednesday, some areas in the South Chungcheong region received over 400 millimeters of rain. This marked record rainfall for the area, with the Korea Meteorological Administration warning that the wet weather would continue into Thursday night.
