Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has warned that millions of Awami League supporters will boycott next year's national election after her party was officially barred from participating. Speaking from her exile in New Delhi, the 78-year-old leader said she would not return home under any government formed through an election that excludes her party. Hasina fled to India in August 2024 after a student-led uprising that forced her resignation, ending her 15-year rule.
