Pakistan, Jan. 20 -- US President Donald Trump said the United States would discuss acquiring Greenland at this week's Davos World Economic Forum. He cited security concerns, claiming Denmark cannot protect the territory. Trump described Denmark as "wonderful people" but stressed the island's strategic importance requires US control.

Trump told reporters in Florida that Greenland must be secured properly and the United States is the only country capable of doing so. He emphasised that Danish leaders are competent but rarely visit or oversee Greenland directly. The president highlighted Greenland's natural resources and strategic location as key reasons for potential talks.
