Pakistan, July 5 -- The federal government has taken a major step to meet an IMF condition. It will now publicly disclose the assets of all civil servants in Grade-17 and above. The move is part of efforts to improve transparency and reduce corruption in government departments.
President Asif Ali Zardari signed the Civil Servants (Amendment) Act, 2025. The Establishment Division issued the official notification, which has been sent to all ministries and divisions. A new clause, Section 15(A), has been added to the Civil Servants Act, 1973.
Under this law, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will collect and publish the asset details. Officers will have to declare their personal and family assets, both in Pakistan and abroad. These detail...
