Pakistan, June 29 -- ISLAMABAD - The federal government has requested NEPRA to approve a uniform electricity tariff for all ex-WAPDA distribution companies (XWDISCOs) and K-Electric, starting July 1, 2025. The move aims to replace current varying rates with a single, nationwide tariff system.

NEPRA announced that it will hold a public hearing on July 1 to review the government's motion. The proposed tariff structure includes targeted subsidies, cross-DISCO adjustments, and tariff rationalization surcharges to ensure balanced pricing across the country.
