Pakistan, April 19 -- Protesters in Thatta attacked the convoy of State Minister Kheeal Das Kohistani during a protest over disputed irrigation canals. The crowd threw stones, eggs, and tomatoes at the vehicle. Fortunately, the convoy escaped safely without further trouble.
The protest was led by nationalist party workers who were angered by the convoy's presence. They chanted slogans and blocked the minister's path. The situation remained tense, but no injuries were reported.
Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar condemned the incident and called it an attack on a public servant. He asked the Sindh IG and interior secretary to submit detailed reports. He also demanded a fair and full investigation.
