Pakistan, June 18 -- ISLAMABAD - The federal government has approved a major development package worth Rs35.97 billion for the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), aiming to bring long-term progress and stability to the region.
Approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the package is a key part of the government's ongoing efforts to uplift areas that were once part of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). These funds are intended to improve infrastructure, education, healthcare, and job opportunities in the underdeveloped regions.
