Pakistan, May 20 -- ISLAMABAD - The Pakistani government has declared May 28, 2025, as a public holiday to observe Youm-e-Takbeer, commemorating the country's historic nuclear tests in the Chagai region of Balochistan in 1998. The announcement was made through a notification from the Establishment Division.
This decision follows a similar move by the Sindh government, which also declared a holiday for the same day. All provincial offices, including local councils and government departments in Sindh, will remain closed on May 28, 2025.
