Pakistan, July 8 -- KARACHI - Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has announced the allotment of 80-square-yard plots for the victims of the recent Lyari building collapse, calling the tragedy deeply painful. He urged the affected families to visit Governor House to get themselves registered and assured that the provincial government would provide rent equal to six months to support their recovery.
During his visit to the collapse site in Lyari, Tessori said that the focus should be on changing the system, not just replacing officials. He welcomed the Sindh government's move to form an inquiry committee and stated that the incident left residents with no time to escape.
