Pakistan, June 1 -- The federal government has increased the price of petrol by Rs1 per litre, effective from midnight today (May 31, 2025). However, high-speed diesel (HSD) will continue to be sold at its existing price. The Ministry of Finance issued the official notification, stating that the revision follows routine fortnightly fuel pricing adjustments.

With the hike, the new petrol price now stands at Rs253.63 per litre, while diesel remains unchanged at Rs254.64 per litre. This marks the first petrol price hike in several weeks, despite previous indications of international oil price reductions.
