Pakistan, Oct. 14 -- The price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan reached an all-time high on Tuesday, soaring by Rs6,900 per tola to settle at Rs435,100 compared to the previous day's Rs428,200. The sharp increase reflects the growing uncertainty in both local and global markets, prompting investors to seek the precious metal as a safe-haven asset.
Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also witnessed a significant jump, rising by Rs5,916 to reach Rs373,028 from Rs367,112. Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed to Rs341,954 from Rs336,531, marking an increase of Rs5,423. These steady gains indicate a continued upward trend in the domestic bullion market, which has been under pressure from global economic developments.
