Pakistan, July 14 -- Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Monday, following an upward trend in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs1,600, hitting Rs359,700 in the local market.

The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs1,371, reaching Rs308,384. This marks a continued rise in the domestic market, as gold gained Rs1,100 per tola just two days ago, on Saturday, bringing the price then to Rs358,100.

The rise mirrors global gold prices, which also saw gains on Monday. According to APGJSA, the international price of gold reached $3,372 per ounce, including a $20 premium, after increasing by $16 during the day.
