Pakistan, July 31 -- Chairman of the Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nepal, Devraj Ghimire, reaffirmed the friendly and longstanding ties between Pakistan and Nepal, built on mutual respect, shared regional interests, and close people-to-people connections.
According to a news release, the two leaders met on the sidelines of the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva.
During the meeting, Chairman Gilani expressed Pakistan's commitment to strengthening its broad-based partnership with Nepal, especially in the fields of parliamentary diplomacy, trade, education, tourism, and cultural exchange.
