Pakistan, July 26 -- The ceasefire track is broken. Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump have both declared that talks with Hamas are futile, claiming the latter "do(es) not want a deal." Their statements arrive as Gaza suffers one of the worst humanitarian collapses in living memory. Nearly 60,000 Palestinians are dead, 1.9 million displaced, and most of the enclave has been reduced to rubble.

Food and medical supplies are systematically blocked: last week, 23 percent of aid convoys were denied entry and another 21 percent delayed. Civilians queueing for flour are shot at; hospitals are overwhelmed or closed.
