GAZA, Aug. 3 -- Hunger and violence in Gaza continue to take lives at an alarming rate. On Saturday, six more Palestinians died due to starvation, while Israeli forces shot and killed 22 others, including 16 who were waiting for food aid. The situation is worsening despite claims of humanitarian pauses and aid deliveries.

Hospitals in Gaza reported that the six who died from hunger were adults who had been weakened by weeks of food shortage. These deaths bring the total number of Palestinians killed by hunger and malnutrition to 175 since the war began. Among the dead are at least 93 children who could not access life-saving nutrition or medical care.
