Pakistan, July 10 -- A senior Israeli official has stated that a Gaza ceasefire deal with Hamas could be reached within one or two weeks, but it is unlikely to happen in just a single day. This comment came during Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ongoing visit to Washington, where key negotiations and diplomatic talks are underway.
The official, speaking anonymously, said that if both parties agree to the proposed 60-day ceasefire, Israel will use that period to push for a permanent truce.
