The Meteorological Department has forecasted three to four more monsoon spells entering Pakistan in September, bringing above-average rainfall to several regions, officials said, urging citizens to stay alert and prepared.
Deputy Director Irfan Virk told reporters that north-eastern Punjab, the Potohar region, Islamabad, and southern Kashmir are expected to receive higher than normal rainfall during the upcoming spells this month.
He added that south-eastern Sindh will also witness above-average rains, while the rest of the country is likely to experience normal rainfall levels, providing some relief from recent flooding in affected areas.
