Pakistan, July 25 -- Bangladesh's former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque was arrested in connection with a murder case. Police took him into custody from his home and presented him in court. Following the hearing, a Dhaka court ordered his detention.

Khairul Haque faces charges related to the killing of a young protester during last year's student movement. The case was filed by a leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). A total of 465 people, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, are named in the case.
