Pakistan, July 31 -- The Gilgit-Baltistan government has issued a serious alert due to the risk of glacial lake outbursts, landslides, and flooding following forecasts of heavy rainfall in the coming days. According to government spokesperson Faizullah Firaq, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned of intense weather that may trigger multiple natural disasters across the mountainous region.

Due to this weather alert, tourists have been strictly advised to avoid unnecessary travel, especially to vulnerable areas. Local residents are also warned to stay away from low-lying regions where the risk of flooding is higher. The government has urged people to remain cautious and follow official guidelines to ensure their safety.
