Pakistan, Oct. 2 -- The first Supermoon of 2025 will brighten the skies on October 7, giving stargazers a rare chance to witness the moon appearing significantly larger and brighter than usual. The phenomenon occurs when the moon reaches its closest point to Earth in its elliptical orbit, creating a dazzling celestial display that attracts global attention.

During this event, the full moon will appear about 14 percent larger and nearly 30 percent brighter compared to an average full moon. This makes it a visually striking sight for observers across Pakistan and around the world. The October Supermoon will be at a distance of 224,599 miles from Earth, making it the nearest since November 2024.
