Pakistan, July 16 -- ISLAMABAD - Fertilizer offtake in Pakistan rose sharply by 11% in June 2025, reaching 407 thousand tonnes, according to the latest report from the National Fertiliser Development Centre (NFDC). This growth was mainly driven by higher usage of nitrogen and potash fertilizers, while phosphate offtake slightly declined compared to June 2024.
Nitrogen offtake surged by 15.7%, and potash recorded an even larger increase of 41.2%. In contrast, phosphate usage dropped by 6.7%. The report linked this trend to strong planting activity during the Kharif season, increased farmer earnings, and wider adoption of the government's Kissan Card loan scheme.
