Pakistan, Feb. 23 -- A female doctor was shot dead by unidentified gunmen while returning home from duty in Kohat, sparking outrage and protests across the province. The incident occurred on a double road near a hospital in the Kohat Development Authority (KDA) area, where assailants opened indiscriminate fire, killing Dr Mehwish instantly. The attackers fled the scene, and their identities remain unknown.

Police have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts to identify and apprehend those responsible. Authorities have urged the public to provide any information that may help in the investigation.
