Pakistan, July 22 -- ISLAMABAD - Heavy rains in Islamabad and Rawalpindi triggered flash floods on Tuesday, sweeping away a car carrying a retired army officer and his young daughter. The alarming incident occurred near a storm drain in a private housing society where the vehicle was caught in the rising water.

A disturbing video widely shared on social media shows the grey car being swept into the powerful floodwaters. According to rescue officials, Colonel (retd) Ishaq Qazi and his 25-year-old daughter were in the vehicle when it drifted away due to the strong water flow.
