Pakistan, Jan. 28 -- India's white-ball stars surged in the latest ICC T20I rankings ahead of the Men's T20 World Cup. Abhishek Sharma strengthened his grip as the world's top batter. Pakistani players, including Sahibzada Farhan and Abrar Ahmed, maintained top positions, keeping regional competition intense.

Sharma rose to 929 points after scoring two half-centuries in the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand. He is just two points shy of his career-high 931 rating. England's Phil Salt follows with 849 points, while India's Tilak Varma holds third place. Former world No.1 Suryakumar Yadav climbed five spots to seventh after an unbeaten 57-run knock.
