Pakistan, June 30 -- A 19-year-old Tunisian woman, Sanda Ayari, who came to Karachi to marry a Pakistani man she met on Facebook, is set to return home after their marriage ended in divorce just months later.

Sanda arrived in Karachi on November 28, 2024, and married Muhammad Aamir the next day. The couple officially registered their marriage in March 2025. However, their relationship quickly fell apart, and Aamir divorced Sanda shortly afterward.

After the divorce, Sanda sought help from the Women Police Station in Liaquatabad, explaining that her visa had expired and that Aamir refused to provide support. Police confirmed no abuse allegations were made, and Aamir acknowledged the divorce when summoned.
