Pakistan, Oct. 20 -- Islamabad's Shamil Hussain struck a fine century on the second day of the third round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, but his effort could not prevent Abbottabad from taking control of the contest here at the Margalla Cricket Ground on Sunday.
Abbottabad, resuming their first innings, posted a commanding 437 with Yasir Khan leading the charge through a brilliant 185. Mohammad Nadeem picked up three wickets for Islamabad.
In reply, Islamabad were bundled out for 228, with Shamil Hussain making a patient 100, while Israr Hussain returned figures of 4- for Abbottabad, who closed the day at 45 for one in their second innings.
