Pakistan, Jan. 14 -- The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has unearthed irregularities amounting to millions of rupees in property tax in Faisalabad region. It is found that property inspectors arbitrarily fix property tax on commercial properties due to which the department is facing a deficit of millions of rupees on annual basis The Director General Excise Punjab has expressed distrust over the performance of officers including property inspectors in Faisalabad and has formed a special committee comprising officers from different districts of the province.
