Pakistan, June 30 -- Europe is suffering under a severe heatwave, with temperatures hitting 40degC and even higher in several regions. Countries like Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, and the UK are experiencing record-breaking heat. Authorities in many areas have issued health and wildlife warnings due to the rising temperatures.

In Spain, the capital city Barcelona reported the death of a woman due to the extreme heat. In Portugal's Mura region, the temperature reached a scorching 47degC. As a result, officials advised people to stay indoors during the hottest hours. Italy placed 21 cities, including Rome, Milan, and Naples, on high heat alert.
