Pakistan, Jan. 21 -- European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned that rising tensions with the United States could strengthen Western adversaries. She spoke on Wednesday amid disputes over Greenland and trade threats. Her remarks came during a speech to European lawmakers in Strasbourg.

Von der Leyen cautioned that conflict between close allies would weaken collective security. She said such divisions would only benefit rivals seeking greater global influence. Therefore, she urged restraint and cooperation between Europe and Washington.
