Pakistan, June 23 -- BRUSSELS - The European Union has raised serious concerns over Iran's possible move to close the Strait of Hormuz, calling it a dangerous step that could worsen regional tensions. EU's top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, warned that such an action would not benefit anyone.
Speaking to reporters ahead of a meeting with EU foreign ministers on Monday, Kallas said, "Closing the Strait of Hormuz would be extremely dangerous and not good for anybody." She stressed that the risk of escalation in the region remains very high.
