Pakistan, July 10 -- Pakistan and the European Union have signed a €20 million grant agreement aimed at enhancing corporate governance and improving the business environment. Signed by EU Ambassador Dr. Reena Kiwanka and Secretary of the Economic Affairs Division Dr. Kazim Niaz, the deal signals shared commitment to sustainable and inclusive economic development.
Under the €275-2021 Multiannual Indicative Programme, the grant will support private sector growth-especially SMEs. It will focus on businesses led by women or benefiting them, including initiatives that help transition export-based industries toward a green economy and strengthen investment partnerships between the public and private sectors.
