Pakistan, July 4 -- The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has warned of heavy and stormy rains across Punjab on 9th and 10th Muharram. The rain spell is expected to begin on July 5. Authorities fear these conditions could affect religious processions and gatherings during Muharram. Therefore, the PDMA has advised the public and procession organizers to take necessary safety steps in advance.

According to the PDMA spokesperson, the public should stay away from electric poles and wires during the rain. People are also urged not to hold gatherings on old or damaged rooftops. These areas may collapse due to strong winds or heavy rain. Moreover, organizers must plan events keeping the weather risks in mind.
