Pakistan, July 28 -- The Punjab government is set to roll out a new electric green bus service in the Sargodha division starting August 14. This move aims to provide clean, affordable, and efficient transport to the public. It also reflects the government's growing focus on sustainable urban development and climate action.

Khalid Mahmood, Secretary of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), said that 48 electric buses will be deployed in the first phase. Khushab will get 12 buses, while Mianwali and Bhakkar will each receive six. The remaining buses will operate across other major routes within the division. Charging stations are also being set up to ensure smooth daily operations.
