Islamabad, Sept 26: Moderate earthquake tremors were felt across several parts of Pakistan on Friday morning, causing panic among residents in northern and central regions, ARY News reported, citing the Seismological Center.

According to initial data, the quake measured 5.5 on the Richter scale at a depth of 195 kilometers, with its epicenter located in Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region.

Residents in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Swat, Upper Dir, Bisham, Attock, and Chitral reported feeling the shocks. The tremors were also experienced across parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
