Pakistan, June 17 -- LOS ANGELES - A California doctor accused of supplying ketamine to actor Matthew Perry in the weeks before his tragic death has agreed to plead guilty, according to court documents filed Monday. Dr. Salvador Plasencia will plead guilty to four counts of illegal ketamine distribution, while federal prosecutors have agreed to drop several other charges, including falsifying records. The plea deal could lead to a maximum prison sentence of 40 years.
Prosecutors say Plasencia illegally gave Perry 20 vials of ketamine, along with lozenges and syringes, just weeks before the actor died on October 28, 2023. He also admitted to injecting Perry twice and teaching his assistant how to do it.
