Pakistan, July 28 -- Director Meesum Naqvi recently appeared on Gup Shup with FUCHSIA Magazine, where he addressed fans' questions about a possible second season of Mayi Ri and the making of Parwarish. Naqvi clarified that he has no plans to continue Mayi Ri, despite the massive popularity of the lead characters Aina and Samar. Instead, he focused on creating a new story that highlights fresh challenges.

Mayi Ri told the powerful story of a 15-year-old schoolgirl forced into child marriage. It highlighted the damaging impact such practices can have on young lives. Naqvi firmly stated that making a sequel would go against the original message. "What would the plot even be-halala and a reunion? That doesn't make sense," he explained.
