Denmark will start a three-year Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) with Pakistan's power sector in January 2026. The programme aims to help Pakistan develop low-carbon energy pathways and meet renewable energy goals by 2030. It also focuses on cost-effective climate action and boosting energy efficiency in industries.
In August 2025, a Danish delegation visited Pakistan to plan the cooperation. They met government officials, energy companies, NGOs, and international partners like the World Bank. These meetings identified priority areas for technical support and capacity building.
