Pakistan, July 16 -- An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday formally indicted Afnan and his father, Shafqat, in a high-profile case involving a car crash that claimed the lives of six members of the same family in the Defence area.
ATC Judge Irfan Haider presided over the proceedings, during which both accused appeared before the court.
Upon the reading of the charges, the duo pleaded not guilty and announced their decision to contest the allegations.
Following their indictment, the court adjourned the hearing until August 22, summoning prosecution witnesses to record their statements in the upcoming proceedings.
