Kabul, Jan. 24 -- Severe rain and snowfall in Afghanistan has killed 61 people and injured over 110 across multiple provinces. Hundreds of homes were damaged, and key roads have been blocked, authorities reported. The disaster has worsened the humanitarian situation in the already crisis-hit country.
Heavy rain and snow began on Wednesday and affected provinces including Parwan, Wardak, southern Kandahar, northern Jowzjan, Faryab, and central Bamyan. The extreme weather disrupted daily life and damaged critical infrastructure in both urban and rural areas.
