Pakistan, July 16 -- At least 28 people lost their lives and 90 others were injured across Punjab due to heavy rains and storms in the last 24 hours, said Farooq Ahmed, spokesperson for the provincial rescue service. Most deaths occurred from roof collapses in cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Okara, Pakpattan, Nankana Sahib, and Sahiwal. Injured victims were swiftly taken to hospitals for urgent medical care.
