Pakistan, Jan. 22 -- Customs Enforcement Peshawar has seized smuggled goods and offending vehicles worth Rs. 170 million in three successful anti-smuggling operations.
The operations are a major blow to smuggling, illicit trade and narcotics trafficking, said a news release on Wednesday.
The seizures were made by different formations of the Collectorate, which intercepted attempts to smuggle foreign-origin charas (hashish), cashew nuts, black pepper, cigarettes, miscellaneous items and a non-duty-paid (NDP) Toyota Hilux Surf, along with multiple offending vehicles.
ASD Nowshera recovered 3,430 kg of foreign-origin black pepper, 2,420 kg of foreign-origin cashew nuts, and detained an offending Mazda truck (Reg. No. LEI-8919).
