Pakistan, May 18 -- SOUTH WAZIRISTAN - Authorities have imposed a day-long curfew in South Waziristan on Sunday due to growing security threats in the area. The curfew will remain in effect from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, according to a notification issued by the district administration.
Officials confirmed that the road connecting Makeen to Razmak will be completely closed during the curfew hours. The closure aims to prevent any untoward incidents and maintain law and order in the region.
Residents have been strongly advised to avoid traveling on the Makeen-Razmak route and are encouraged to use alternate roads. Authorities have also asked citizens to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary movement throughout the day.
