Pakistan, Jan. 14 -- At least 19 people were killed and around 80 injured when a construction crane fell on a train. The accident occurred in the Sikhio district, 230 km northeast of Bangkok. Authorities say the crane collapsed on three carriages of the train bound for Ubon Ratchathani province.
Transport Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn confirmed 195 passengers were on board and ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. Rescue teams are still working to remove bodies trapped inside the derailed carriages. The crane began shifting during recovery, forcing officials to temporarily halt operations for safety.
