Pakistan, July 22 -- The court has approved bail for eight officers of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) who were arrested following the tragic building collapse in Lyari, Karachi. The Additional District and Sessions Judge (South) heard the case and instructed each officer to submit surety bonds worth Rs. 1 million. The judge also commented that the case contains weak legal sections.

During the hearing, the court also directed the government to provide alternative housing to the victims of the collapse.
