Colleges in several flood-affected areas of Lahore Division will remain closed for two days due to rising safety concerns. The closures apply to institutions in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Kasur districts. Heavy rains and overflowing rivers have forced the authorities to take swift action to protect students and staff.
According to a government notification, 16 colleges in flood-hit regions will stay shut on August 29 and 30. The director of colleges ordered this closure as a precautionary step. The directive also instructed that electricity in these institutions be cut off immediately to prevent electrical hazards.
